The Kitchen at La Domaine is Renown

We are proud of our food at La Domaine Esemar. We use only the finest of ingredients: farm fresh, natural, and organic. We might abuse your body, but our food never will.
We offer a range of dinners from vegetarian to exotic. Possibilities include Tofu with wild mushrooms and a melange of vegetables, chicken in Cuban orange sauce, free range t-bone steak with a spectacular cepe/porcini sauce, the delicious, mouth- watering Van Wie porkchop or ham dinners (Van Wie is the only certified organic piggy farmer in the northeast), grilled swordfish marinated in fine wine and fresh herbs, pheasant with chanterelles, buffalo rubbed in sage topped with almond flavored agaricus, and the house specialty, Master R's fabulous two day preparation braised duck with fairy ring mushrooms. Master is an accomplished mushroom hunter; all wild mushrooms are found locally.
For those of you who enjoy fine wines, we keep a small but extraordinary selection of first growth clarets, and other possibilities, in our cellar. If you have never tried a great Bordeaux, we recommend adding one to your experience here.
Breakfast can be french toast, eggs from the farm, pancakes, etc, served with ham or sausage, home fries, bread from our local bakery, fresh juice, fruits and organic coffee.
Dining can either be formal, the good dishes and the slaves on strict behavior, or very relaxed. Please let us know which you would prefer. We generally dine together.
If you would prefer to "eat out", we will be glad to handle your dinner reservations for you. We have several fine restaurants available. None of these, however, will allow your slave to dine chained at your feet.
A visit to La Domaine Esemar is a sensual experience. We hope you will choose to dine with us.

THE RED WINE
&
MEAT DINNER
Here we go again!!! Our dinners have been met with the highest accolades. Last winter, in the middle of the winter, we did THE BORDEAUX AND MEAT DINNER. We served five courses, each with a great Bordeaux. We had so many requests to do this dinner again, that we will, in the middle of this winter. What better time than mid-winter for a RED WINE AND MEAT DINNER!
This year the theme will be great red wines from around the world. They will all be selected from the finest wines in the La Domaine cellar. There will be a great Cote De Rhone, something absolutely spectacular from somewhere in Spain, a stunner from Italy, a remarkable wine from Chile, of course one brilliant Bordeaux from an equally brilliant vintage, and a dazzling wine from New York State... Just kidding on NYS, someday maybe…but we will have a dazzling wine from somewhere in the US. We are leaning towards one of the 100 point wines from Oregon. Incidentally, all the wines we are considering are rated at least 96 points. As wine master Robert Parker puts it in explaining the point system: “96 - 100: An extraordinary wine of profound and complex character displaying all the attributes of a classic wine. Wines of this caliber are worth a special effort to find, purchase and consume.” We welcome you to share in some of the 96-100 wines found in the Esemar cellar.
The food, oh the food…Our plans are to savor the full rich blood of meat in winter. Rare Sage-rubbed Buffalo, dripping red seasoned Duck Breast, Master R’s classic Venison Stew, a yet to be decided new dish designed specifically for one of the wine selections, and– back by popular demand – repeated from last year – there is nothing like it - Fabbit! Are you ready?
Just the facts: an extraordinary dinner and a tasting of five of the finest wines in the world, served in a dungeon by naked slaves.
Date: February 4, 2012. Cost $125 a person.
We are accepting a very small number of reservations this year. Dinner is being limited to twelve guests. Reserve ASAPASAP.
Yes! There is a party afterwards. Instead of the usual $125 a couple party fee, the party will be $75 if you are attending the dinner. Instead of the usual $350 an individual party fee, the party will be $300 if attending the dinner.
If you feel these prices are more than you can afford, yet you deeply desire –pant pant - to be here, please be candid with us. We can work something out.
Summary: Twelve lucky people will consume five of the finest wines from around the world, each served with a winter’s dish that will further enhance the experience of drinking this caliber wine, while enjoying the camaraderie of Fine Mistresses, Masters and slaves and the ambiance of a dinner in the La Domaine dungeon. Then we party…
