La Domaine Educational Programs


We believe BDSM is an art. As in all the other arts, the more education one receives, the better one becomes in the art form. Therefore, we offer programs teaching specific skills, as well as in-depth, educational programs. We offer educational programs for both Professional Dominants and our individual guests, couples and clients.


The Mistress and Master in Training (MIT) program


This program is our most serious offering. It involves a commitment to La Domaine for six months to a year and a half. It is the most in-depth and comprehensive program that we know of available today. We accept men and women wanting to become professional Dominants, those already professional wishing to advance to the highest levels, and individuals who simply want to be the best they can be in their own private domains.


Technical Skills


These sessions are available to the professional or the privateer who wants to learn one or more specific skills. If you are interested in learning to use a single-tail, flogger or bullwhip, if you would like to learn how to tie those beautiful, Asian Sakura, Joshu, Shibari ties, if you have ever wondered what the correct procedure is when one performs a deep needling, if you want to be able to play safely with medical play or if you desire to learn virtually any other skill associated with BDSM, these individually tailored lessons are for you.


Training The Psyche


These sessions are geared primarily for couples, although they can have great value for Professional Dominants. They afford the opportunity to learn the subtle and powerful techniques we use here, and see how you can apply them in your own lives or practice. These lessons are for you to share with your own submissives, or simply to better your own Dominant understandings and control techniques. Manners, posture, devotion, serving skills, greater levels of masochism, and many other areas where insights into the psyche of submission are crucial come under this area of educational services.


Workshops Taught By The Masters


Periodically, we offer workshops, for fifteen or twenty participants, with our own Masters and Mistresses or with extraordinary visiting teachers. These include a full day of bondage styles, with Master Max, Mistress Collette, and Master R, all sharing their favorite rope tricks. Another workshop is the recurring, every other year, workshop with the world's greatest whip maker, Joe Wheeler. A Wheeler workshop is currently scheduled for spring of 2006. Master pony trainer Dana and his multiple award winning pony, piper, will be presenting a workshop later this year for the human equines among us. Some day soon, we shall have Dorothy from The Other Woman corsets telling us all about the wonderful history of corsets and their making. We are always open to your suggestions for interesting workshops.


Even The Kitchen


If you have not eaten here, this offering may seem odd, however, Mastery attracts Master chefs. The food at La Domaine is so remarkable that we have had many requests for cooking workshops. Starting in April, these classes will be available. Master Max, who professionally teaches cooking cuisines from around the world, Mistress Bella Vendetta, one of the most respected and creative young chefs in The Berkshires, slave george the butler (a professional chef from France), and Master R, who heads the renown La Domaine kitchen, will all be doing workshops throughout the year. From delicious Thai cuisine to the best duck confit, what better place to Master the demands of the finest palette!
